How to Make an AI Rap Video: Photos to MP4 in 6 Steps
Make an AI rap video in about 5 minutes: add one or two photos, pick a stage and a sound, and download a vertical MP4 with no watermark.

Short answer: To make an AI rap video, add a photo of each person (or one photo of both), choose a stage, choose a sound, and press the create button. The video renders in about 2 to 5 minutes and downloads as a vertical MP4 with no watermark. You film nothing and install nothing, and you do not need an account.
The whole process happens in your browser on an iPhone, an Android phone or a computer. Start at the AI rap generator and follow the six steps below.
What do you need before you start?
Very little:
- A clear photo of each person, or one photo that shows both people.
- A phone or computer with a browser.
- A way to pay for credits. You can pay as a guest, so there is no sign-up wall.
Good photos matter more than anything else on this list. Face the camera, keep the face in good light, and avoid sunglasses and heavy filters. For more detail, see the photo tips later in this guide.
Step 1: How do you add your photos?
Pick the two-photo layout and upload one picture per person. The person on the left is the lead and does the rapping. The person on the right is the hype, who nods, bounces and backs the lead up.
Only have one picture of the pair? Switch to the one-photo layout and upload it. Solo pages use a single portrait.
Only upload people who agreed to be in the video. If anyone is under 18, get a parent or guardian to say yes first, and never use photos of public figures or celebrities.
Step 2: Which stage should you pick?
There are four stages to choose from:
| Stage | Look |
|---|---|
| Lobby Booth | Warm orange wall with one hanging mic, the Hotel Lobby trend look |
| Gold Lounge | Marble, brass and velvet |
| Studio Booth | Foam panels, a pop filter and blue light |
| Block Party | Graffiti wall at dusk, string lights and a small crowd |
If you are chasing the trend, the Lobby Booth is the one. The Hotel Lobby AI page has a ready-made setup for it.
Step 3: What sound should the video use?
You get three options:
- AI verse. Type a topic of up to 120 characters. The AI writes an original, clean rap about it and performs it. It uses the language of your topic, so a topic in Spanish gets a Spanish verse.
- Your lyrics. Paste up to 300 characters of your own bars and the lead performs them.
- Beat only. An original instrumental plays and the duo vibes or dances without vocals.
RapVideo does not take an uploaded audio file, and it never uses original recordings of real songs. If you want a trending sound, pick Beat only or any option you like, then add the trending sound inside TikTok or Instagram when you post.
Stuck on what to rap about? The AI rap topic ideas list has plenty of lines that fit the box.
Step 4: How long is the video and what does it cost?
Rap videos are 12 seconds long and vertical (9:16), the right shape for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. You choose between two qualities.
| Quality | Credits for a 12 s rap video |
|---|---|
| Standard (480p) | 6 |
| HD (720p) | 10 |
The create button always shows the exact credits before you press it. Credit packs start at $9.99 for 10 credits and never expire. See pricing for every pack and pass.
Step 5: How do you create and wait for the video?
Press the create button and pay. Rendering usually takes about 2 to 5 minutes. You can leave the page, because the finished clip waits for you in My videos.
Signing in with Google or email is optional, but it keeps your videos available across devices. Guests can still generate and download.
If a render fails, times out or is blocked by a safety check, the credits are refunded automatically. A finished video is not refunded, but unused purchases can be refunded within 14 days under the refund policy.
Step 6: How do you download and post it?
Open the finished clip and download the MP4. There is no watermark, and you may post it anywhere. Your photos are used only to make the video and are never shown publicly.
When you post, add a trending sound in the app if you want one. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube all let you attach audio during upload.
How do you get a better result?
- Use sharp, front-facing photos with open eyes.
- Keep both faces large in the frame in a shared photo.
- Write a topic with a name and one concrete detail, not a vague theme.
- Try Standard first. If you love the look, make an HD version.
This is not a face swap. The model renders a new clip from your photos, so small differences from your real face can happen. Fresh photos with clearer lighting usually fix that.
FAQ
