The short answer
What a Hotel Lobby AI video actually is
Updated October 24, 2026
A Hotel Lobby AI video is the clip behind the Hotel Lobby trend: an AI render that drops two new people into a small orange booth with one hanging microphone, one rapping and one hyping. On RapVideo you upload a photo of each person (or one photo of both), and the model renders a fresh 12-second video of the two of you in that booth, rapping an original verse about the topic you type. It costs 6 credits at 480p and downloads as an MP4 with no watermark.
The Hotel Lobby trend took off on TikTok and Reels in autumn 2026: people put a friend, a partner, a grandparent or even a pet into the same warm orange booth from a well-known 2022 duo performance, sharing one hanging mic. The look is the hook, so every clip is instantly recognisable.
It is not a live camera filter and not a face swap. A face swap pastes a face onto someone else's body and moves; here the model renders a new clip from your two photos, so both people keep their own face, hair and outfit and perform the routine themselves.
RapVideo never uses the original recording. The verse and beat are generated fresh for your duo, which also means the audio is yours to post. If you want the trending sound on TikTok, add it in the app when you post.

How it works
Make it in 3 steps
- 1
Add one photo of each person
Front-facing shots with one face each work best. The left photo raps, the right one hypes. Got a photo of both of you? Switch to One photo.

Type what the verse is about
Up to 120 characters: two names and an inside joke is plenty. Leave it empty and the AI raps about you two owning the booth.

Why make it here
Why make your Hotel Lobby video here
Friends in different cities
The two photos can come from different phones, years and countries. The model puts both of you at the same mic.
Nothing to install
It runs in the browser on a phone or a computer. The booth is built in: no template to hunt for, no timeline to edit.
A verse about you
Type a topic and the AI writes the bars around your names and your joke, in the language you type it in.
Price before you press
The button shows the credits for your exact video. Packs never expire and a failed render refunds itself.
Ideas
Pairings that work in the booth
- Best friends since school, rapping about the one thing they never stopped doing
- A couple: one raps the proposal story, the other hypes
- Grandma on the mic, grandson as hype man
- Two coworkers roasting the office coffee machine
- Siblings settling who was the favourite
Ask before you put anyone in a video, and leave public figures out of it.
